the time of my life

WOW-it's been an entire month since my last post. I guess I'd better update, eh?

Grad school: I'm extremely busy, but things are finishing up nicely. It's so hard to believe I'll be done in less than two months. Scary, scary, scary. Lots of work done, but lots left to do...

Social life: trying to savor every last sweet moment as a "student"...I'm going to miss my friends who are getting jobs out of town so much. :o( Ahhh, memories.......

Chambana: 2 weeks ago. Got to see a lot of the old crew...Dan, Joe, Diller & Megan, Natalie, Amanda, etc...I miss them all a lot. Fun times were had by all at 1004, Brother's, Murphy's, Legends game-watching (even though we lost...**TEAR**), and at the mall. Lots of catching up for all of us, but it's nice to know that some things (and friendships) never change.

STL: Last weekend. Got together with a bunch of friends, had a great time. Highlights include: Dinner at Tequila's, Trivia Night (I'm terrible at everything except politics & pop culture, but somehow the team I was on managed to win despite my lackluster trivia skills!), Dan and Joe nearly getting bitched out by me bc they pulled my chair out from under me (I seriously wanted to KILL them...they will never grow up!), Laclede's Landing (we went to the Big Bang-lots of fun), running into some old friends from CHS. Fun times....we should do it more often, definitely.

AG job: Still no word yet...spoke on the phone to the guy I interviewed yet, as usual, the State of Illinois is taking their sweet time in making a decision (just like they took their sweet time in setting an interview...I seriously waited three months after I turned in my application before I got a phone call...I had completely given up!), but oh well...the job hunting continues.

Speaking of job hunting...

Washington D.C.: I'm heading to D.C. on a business/fun trip next month. Yup, just me, and I couldn't be happier. I'm really not sure what the trip will bring, I'm not even sure I definitely want to work in D.C. (I value my soul), but I'm curious to see what happens. I am visiting with old friends (who now live/work out there) and making appointments with various political contacts, and I'll be curious to see what happens-and if I could even see myself working out there at this point in my life. I'm a sucker for Illinois politics, what can I say-they've grown on me. Anyway, it should be a fun trip, regardless.

Nothing else to report now...I apologize for the lack of posting, but if you're really that interested in my life, you probably already know a lot of this stuff, and if you don't, you know how to get ahold of me to find out more.
